5 reasons why now is the best time to hire a wedding planner

We’ll recommend a wedding planner to anyone but right now, more than ever, we are encouraging all couples to hire a wedding planner if you’re planning a late 2021 or 2022 wedding + beyond. As of June 11th, all of Pennsylvania has officially re-opened! That means over several weeks, the wedding industry went from 0-100. Couples are planning full speed ahead and while that’s definitely a good thing- it also brings a lot of challenges for couples looking to book their dream vendors as dates are filling up fast.

2021 is a year filled with not only “part two” weddings and postponements from 2020 but also couples who have been engaged pre-pandemic who have been holding out hope to marry this year. Not only are you planning a wedding, but you most likely will have other weddings and events to attend.

The rest of the year is going to be crazy and you may also have several other large events to attend as well now. Hiring a wedding planning will give you back time so that you can go out and enjoy events with friends and family, knowing your own upcoming wedding day is being handled by a professional. Your wedding planner can even pick up where you have left off if you’re already feeling overwhelmed. Do you have your venue booked but need the rest of your vendors? No problem! A planner will work with you to find the best vendors available for your date. The last thing you want is to be overwhelmed with having to plan your own wedding while attending a bunch of other events!

Vendors are in hot demand but there are only so many weekends in a year.

As mentioned above, there are so many couples planning weddings which is now causing a limited availability on vendors. If you haven’t picked a date yet you may find many prime dates are filled leaving you with a Friday, Sunday, or Weekday option. A planner can help you navigate what your best option is for you and your guests regardless if that means “I Do!” on a Tuesday! OR If your wedding date has moved around quite a few times, you may have lost some of your vendors along the way. Not only can this be super stressful, it’s the last thing a couple wants to add to the wedding planning list. Depending on the package your planner offers, they can work on sourcing new vendors for your new date.

You’re just not in the mood to plan

We have seen SO many Facebook posts about couples just really not having the energy to plan after the madness of 2020. This is a perfect opportunity to hire some help. And no, there should never be any bad feelings about having a planner do the work! Planners are planners for a reason. They love weddings and they get paid to do what they love.

The MOH and Best Man are no longer the MOH and Best Man?

2020 happened. And for whatever reason, you’ve lost few important members of the bridal party. Need help sending out the new invites or managing RSVPs? No idea who is getting the mimosa’s ready in the AM? Did the groomsmen remember their tuxes? Many of these typical wedding party duties can be handled by a planner or their assistants on the wedding day.

You really want to just enjoy your wedding day

Are you finally ready to boot Aunt Barb from set-up duty on the wedding day? Go ahead! You’ve had a year + of waiting and deep down inside we all know, sweet Aunt Barb (while so kind of her to offer) probably isn’t the best fit to be decorating reception tables a few hours from the ceremony. This is a great way to take up a planning company that offers month-of packages. While they take care of set-up and the day’s timeline, you can actually enjoy a peaceful wedding day!

We know there are a million more reason’s why we can’t recommend wedding planning enough right now. But, we hope if you’re stuck in some of these situations, you’ll reach out to a few to see who best fits your needs. Keep in mind that the best planners do not just show up on the wedding day! They typically work with you on full planning or have custom and month-of packages.
