Hi! It’s been a hot minute since I personally di Hi! It’s been a hot minute since I personally did a post. So here’s my unofficial headshot and a little bit about me, Heather, the founder + owner of Pennsylvania Weddings I have a background in web and graphic design and have worked with wedding vendors on their branding. While also designing custom wedding stationery featured on style me pretty, Ruffled and Off Beat Bride to name a few. My husband and I have two boys, 3.5 and soon to be 5. Things can get pretty wild but they like reviewing galleries and admire all the wedding cakes. I live in Bucks County. I’ve lived here my entire life with the exception of a family move to the outer banks when I was 16. It didn’t last long but we still have a rental home there. I dye my hair a lot. I’ve had just about every color in my hair. I recently went full-time. Like 3 weeks ago! I’m not sure I would have survived another magazine while working in corporate and raising two boys 😅 But I’m thankful for the extra time I have to work on the blog and magazine now. My favorite social media platform is Tiktok. I never feel imposter syndrome there and I can show up in my pajamas without a second thought. When I’m not working here, you can find me in the kitchen trying out new recipes and making my toddlers treats. Usually listening to one of my favorite horror movie podcasts. Feel free to follow me simply.heather.ashley What’s Next? Putting the finishing touches on our “Best of PA” awards- I want it to be perfect. So back to the drawing board it went. Starting work on our Fall/Winter issue As we grow, I’d love to be able to hire a full time editor. I have no idea when that will be but I’m putting it out there to the universe.
We are officially open for the Fall/Winter magazin We are officially open for the Fall/Winter magazine coming out in September! Getting newsstand distribution for our magazine is huge for our growth and exposure but this also means strict deadlines for our editorial team from here on out. We have a limited number of ad spaces available until 4/21. So if you want in, grab your spot now. 3 year minimum experience required. Ps- we’d love to see more male vendors! I am so excited for this collaboration and to tell you more about AKP, the process, helpful tips for wedding planning and more. Here are some fun facts on myself: * I went to Kutztown for Photography where I realized quickly I wanted to focus my career, post graduation, on portrait photography. Kutztown is also where I met my husband, Dan and other lifelong friends (looking at you, Alpha Sigma Tau). * We were one of the many Covid Couples who had to postpone our wedding in 2020. We are now happily married with our three dogs; Finn, Piper and Chloe.
