From the photographer: I have a feeling most of Katie and Lee’s family and friends have been long anticipating their wedding day after dating for the better part of a decade. And what better place for them to celebrate their relationship than the place it all began? That’s right, they had their wedding at Penn State and best of all, it was during Arts Fest weekend! (Arts Fest is known to be an art lover’s dream event with over 300 of the country’s best artists selling a wide variety of fine art and fine craft, live art creation, live music, interactive art installations, great food and more. Hundreds of thousands of art lovers flock to State College for this event each summer.)

The two spent a few years long distance, although you would never know it because they were still always together. Katie and Lee have a pretty special kind of love -the kind of love that makes everyone at the ceremony cry because the vows were so genuinely beautiful, the kind of love that people traveled from all over to celebrate.

“Lee’s groomsmen got some pretty incredible custom beer coolers filled with other goodies and Katie’s girls got some gorgeous robes! The two also had a custom logo made for their day, which was featured on glow in the dark party favor bracelets for guests, projected onto the wall above their sweet heart table and included on a custom guest sign.”

“Katie absolutely ROCKED some pink hair, Toms and an off-shoulder gown. Lee looked pretty dapper himself in a navy suit with some stylish brown shoes. No Penn State wedding is complete without stops at The Phyrst, Allen Street, Old Main and the Lion Shrine before a night of dancing that put all our college dancing nights to shame. Their ceremony was at the famous Penn State Arboretum, one of the few places that was quiet during Arts Fest. Lee’s brother was their officiant, making the ceremony so meaningful, especially with some gorgeous harp music playing. They headed over to Toftrees for their reception where they showed off a choreographed dance that combined a traditional dance and a freestyle rocker session as an ode to their mutual love of rock music.”
