Love finds its way of blossoming in very unexpected ways. For Autumn and Steve, this happened to be while commuting back and forth on a SEPTA train. A few years later, they decided it was time to tie the knot in the most upbeat, unique celebration we’ve seen yet-with the help of Engaged Event Management, Autumn and Steve’s Wedding was one for the books!
The day began at a charming AirBnB in Downingtown, where anticipation and excitement filled the air. Autumn had her hair styled to perfection by her dedicated stylist, and the talented hands of Radiance by Ry worked their magic on her makeup. The atmosphere was buzzing with joy and energy, setting the stage for an unforgettable day.
Their first stop was the Station Tap Room, a place that would be transformed into a magical garden for their celebration. The ceilings were adorned with umbrellas festooned with lush greenery and vibrant florals courtesy of The Stems End. A personalized banner, recreated from a painting commissioned by the bride and crafted by local artist Jeff Schaller at Denron Signs, graced one of the walls, adding a personal touch to the venue.
Guests arrived in their finest garden party attire, creating an enchanting ambiance. But the real showstopper was yet to come. Autumn and Steve, accompanied by a live band, made a grand entrance that no one would forget. Carrying beautiful parasols, they led the band through a tunnel under the Downingtown Station train stop, emerging across the street from the Station Tap Room to the delight of their guests.
But the adventure was far from over. After a quick outfit change for the bride, Autumn and Steve made their way back across the street, where their very own Septa train awaited them for the onboard ceremony. Yes, you read that right! The ceremony took place on the train as it sped toward Philadelphia. Adorned with greenery and surrounded by their captive train-riding guests, Autumn and Steve exchanged heartfelt vows and performed a handsfasting ceremony.
Arriving at Suburban Station, the newlyweds and their guests disembarked to the welcoming tunes of the Snack Time band, who led the procession up and out of the station, past Love Park, and right in front of City Hall. With a processional of 60 people, complete with music and beautiful ribbon banners, they were quite the sight to behold. Saying goodbye to Snack Time, they made their way up to the Wet Deck of The W, where food stations and more celebrations awaited.
After one final outfit change for the bride, everyone indulged in delicious food, reveled in the joy of the day, and danced the night away. It was a May Day celebration to remember, in true Philly style.
