From the bride: Our story began in the Fall of 2010 at Penn State. It was a Friday night in State College and I was heading to a party with my college roomie Laura (after studying many hours in the library, of course mom and dad!). Laura’s sister was in town and a couple of guys from their high school were hosting the party. One guy at the party named Jordan really stuck out to me… he was my type- tall, handsome, muscular, and he had dimples! I asked Laura for his number (after leaving the party and avoiding talking to Jordan because I’m clearly socially awkward). Later that night I texted Jordan “Hey” (clever right??) and the rest is history (so apparently my clever pick up line worked…). We hung out casually for the next two years, until my senior year when Jordan (FINALLY) asked me to be his girlfriend and took me on our first real date to Champs and to Walmart to buy our favorite Christmas movie, Home Alone.
Fast forward five and a half years (or eight and a half depending on how you count it!), Jordan finally popped the question! Jordan surprised (or attempted to surprise) me with a proposal at the gazebo behind the Philadelphia Art Museum- one of my favorite spots in Philadelphia. It was perfect!
