It was a beautiful day for Julia and Joel’s June wedding at Historic Shady Lane. A York County venue with land dating back to the 1600s.

Julia and her bridal party spent the morning getting ready in the cottage where she shared a sweet moment with her mom as she gifted her an embroidered keepsake handkerchief with a heartfelt message before heading off to meet her future husband, Joel for their First Look. Yet, their most anticipated moment of the day was seeing each other as Julia walked down the aisle.

The couple exchanged vows on a 1900s bandstand as guests watched in awe as Julia and Joel officially became husband and wife. During the ceremony, Julia’s best friend, Katy sang a worship song and the couple took communion together.

One of the most unique touches Julia and Joel included in their wedding day was a display titled ” A legacy of Love” honoring their parents marriages. This sweet setup included each of their mother’s wedding gowns, a wedding photo and their parent’s wedding date. It was so special to see those memories and something we’ve never seen done before!

Their reception was a perfect blend of vintage and modern decor. Lancaster Cupcake was on site delivering sweet treats in its adorable pink truck and the newlyweds took advantage of a quick photo op before dancing the night away and ending the evening with a sparkled send off as Mr. and Mrs. Pletcher!
