Tell us about your couple’s love story: Tell us about your couple’s love story: A surprise proposal is one of the most fun and special moments to photograph, and this one was amazing! Two friends, Ed & Emily, who I met in college had been happily dating for a while. Ed reached out to me one day about planning a proposal and asked if I could take photos. The planning it took was awesome.
We planned to doctor up a fake couples shoot post on IG that we knew Emily would see. I set it to be viewed by close friends with her included, selecting only a few people who might be able to verify the post should she go asking. Ed subtly mentioned it to Emily, and then she reached out to me! The plan was in motion.
I “picked the location” (already orchestrated by Ed) and was so excited that these two were willing to help me out with getting more “couples portfolio shots.”
Soon into the shoot, Ed brought out his phone, showing a video documenting his journey of asking permission of her parents, getting the ring, and this day. It was so cute. Afterwards, we did some more shots together and laughed and celebrated!
