Kristen and Stephen’s Whimsical Romance Wedding at Parque at Ridley Creek
So many great love stories begin with a friend who steps in to introduce a couple, and that certainly is the case for Kristen and Stephen. Our bride and groom’s story began when Kristen’s friend started working at the same company as Stephen. After Kristen was nervous about going out with someone new, she was convinced by her friend to give him a chance. The rest is history.
Kristen, a former New York Jets cheerleader, is drawn to whimsical and romantic details, while the groom, Stephen, is from the Midwest and appreciates a simple and rustic style. Their choice of Parque at Ridley Creek, a timeless English Tudor-style mansion tucked into the large Ridley Creek State Park, was the perfect option to meld their two styles together. Their ceremony site was tucked into an English garden surrounded by lush landscaping, stone walls, and arches, while their reception was in a beautiful oak-walled ballroom filled with elegant blooms and their family and friends.
Guests were welcomed with goodie bags filled with custom cookies and fun facts about the couple, including how Stephen proposed to Kristen on the rooftop of Soho House in New York City where they had their first date. It was the little details like this that made their wedding so personal. The florals by Petals with Style, included blush blooms and cascading greenery that graced the venue from the fountain at the ceremony site to the ballroom. The whimsy of the flowers in Kristen’s overflowing bouquet mirrored Kristen’s beautiful high updo that juxtaposed her classic structured gown designed by Suzanne Neville.
This wedding was truly a fairytale nestled into the perfect spot for Kristen and Stephen to start their life together.
