From the photographer: Lily and David are just flat out… adorable. When I met them for the first time they were so sweet, authentic, and knew exactly what they wanted! They didn’t want the big to-do wedding, rather a small intimate day where they could still have professional photos and have a small ceremony with dinner afterwards. Lily was such a joy to work with and thankfully, she works in the service industry so she totally understood the BTS in planning the big day! We started the day off with their portraits held at the highlands mansion in Fort Washington. Lily donned a vintage-inspired tea length dress with subtle pops of red that paired well with Davids Marines uniform. They picked January (right after the holidays) because David is stationed out in California for the time being and since everyone would be around for the holidays, it was the perfect opportunity to hold their vows. Immediately proceeding their portraits we traveled to the ceremony site at a local historic church in Wyncote PA where we met with 20 of their closest friends and immediate family. Once David is back from California they plan to have a more traditional day to celebrate their union together in 2021 – something, I cannot wait to photograph!
