Nadia and Hunter were a COVID love story. They met on Tinder and gradually fell in love in the dead of winter in front of a fireplace at Hunter’s family’s farm house which is where they ended up deciding to get married! -This was a convenient, equidistant meeting place between where Nadia was at the time (Williamsport, PA) and Hunter (Ithaca, NY).
With no internet and no tv, they spent many nights at the farm just talking and enjoying each other’s company without distractions and taking turns playing their favorite music. It became very apparent very quickly that the fireplace wasn’t the only source of sparks. They learned that their personalities, sense of humor, and goofiness completely meshed and that they shared the same core values. They consistently tell each other how lucky they are to have found each other and how, after years of dating other wrongly-matched people, they now fully understand what it feels like to find “the one”.
Nadia and Hunter’s wedding day was nothing short of amazing, set Hunter’s family farm amidst the rolling Pennsylvania hills, next to a sparkling pond. Their love for nature was evident in their choice of location, and outdoor ceremony and reception, as well as their deep appreciation for their family’s special places.
Wanting to pay homage to the bride’s Palestinian family heritage, they surprised their family when, following the ceremony, they made their way to the reception tent accompanied by a group of Dabka performers, doing traditional music and dance which started with the Bride and Groom, and erupted into a group dance party with family and friends alike joining in.
Vintage furniture set ups were placed along the property for guests to enjoy and kick up their feet after dancing. While a mobile bar made from an up-cycled horse trailer, and an ice-cream truck served refreshing drinks and treats throughout the night.
A brilliant choice on their part was ordering Happy Meals for all of the kids after the ceremony so no one became hangry while waiting for dinner to be served. Their laid back day even provided guests with hula-hoops for the entertainment of both the children and adults.
After slipping off for some magical sunset photos, their dinner was served under the canopy of two large tents, filled with hanging lights. Mixed with the stars above, it was a surreal and wildly beautiful scene to behold. After dinner, they had a high-energy dance party led by an amazing DJ who knew how to keep things moving, which was enjoyed by young and old alike.
