Wanting to show that couples don’t have to travel long distances for a unique and intimate elopement experience, photographer Carmen May curated an inspiring photoshoot featuring couple, Hannah and Blake. Wanting to do something off the beaten path and a little adventurous, they settled on Ohiopyle State Park. An expansive natural haven spanning over 20,000 acres, complete with 14 miles of the Youghiogheny River Gorge running through its heart.
Overlooking the serene river, Carmen and team handpicked the perfect location on a sizable rock. Here, Little Crossings Pantry crafted a bespoke picnic basket, and Cornucopia Cafe provided a delectable grazing board. Instead of a traditional wedding cake, the couple indulged in exquisitely hand-painted macarons from Maisy Cakes, accompanied by a delightful pink champagne toast. These charming details beautifully wove together to create an intimate, picturesque setting.
As elopements gain popularity among couples, we are thrilled to unveil the stunning elopement options that Pennsylvania offers. With its breathtaking vistas, this state proves that you can exchange your vows in a dreamy, close-to-home setting.
