Love stories are timeless, and each one carries its own unique charm. Jason and Elizabeth’s tale is no exception. It all began back in November of 2015 at Rowan University, where fate brought these two together. Little did they know their chance encounter at a campus event would lead to a love that would last a lifetime.
Lizzie, a bright-eyed freshman, was eagerly looking forward to making new friends at Rowan University. Little did she know that among her new friend group, there was someone special who had already taken notice of her. Jason was drawn to Lizzie from the moment he saw her, and he couldn’t resist reaching out to her through a text message that evening. Over the next five and a half years, Elizabeth and Jason began to realize this was the beginning of their forever.
When the time came to propose, Jason knew exactly where to take Lizzie – their favorite summer spot in Newport, Rhode Island. Despite the looming hurricane, Elsa, and predicted rain, Jason planned a surprise getaway. As they embarked on a sailboat, the weather miraculously cleared, and the sun graced their special moment. It was against this breathtaking backdrop that Jason got down on one knee and asked Lizzie to be his wife, and she joyfully accepted.
The couple chose Hotel Du Village in charming New Hope, PA as their wedding venue. It’s an exclusive boutique hotel and wedding venue with a decidedly French feel, and it features exquisite lush gardens where Elizabeth walked towards her future with Jason.
The ceremony incorporated elements from both Lizzie’s Catholic heritage and Jason’s Jewish roots, symbolizing the coming together of their backgrounds. Under the dusty rose-covered chuppah, they sealed their union with a unity ceremony, which culminated in their first kiss as husband and wife.
Every aspect of the wedding was infused with a French touch, bringing an air of elegance to the celebration. From the live painter capturing the essence of the ceremony to the French cocktails served during the serene cocktail hour, every detail reflected Lizzie and Jason’s love and dedication to each other.
The reception was filled with heartfelt speeches, the cutting of the cake, and a lively dance floor where guests celebrated the happiness of the newlyweds. The love in the room was palpable as family and friends came together to support and celebrate. There’s no doubt that their love will continue to shine brightly, just as it did on that sunny day in Newport when Jason asked Lizzie to be his wife.
