From the photographer: Joey and Genesy serendipitously met in 2016 by way of a mutual friend. At the time, Genesy was living in Rhode Island with one of Joey’s friends. Joey drove up to visit one weekend and the three of them were going to go to dinner. The friend got “caught up at work” and so the two of them went ahead without him.
As they were sitting there, hanging out over dinner and drinks, they both realized that they were falling for each other. And that this was more of a date than just dinner and drinks with friends. (I have an inkling that maybe this friend was trying to set them up!)
Their session was full of laughter and love and it became more and more clear that they were both absolutely enamored with one another. They are two of the most genuine people that I have ever had the pleasure of working with and I was so grateful to be able to capture these special moments for them for the three-year anniversary!
We met at Mount Washington to begin the session. The Pittsburgh skyline created a beautiful backdrop for the two of them. We then traveled over to Schenley Park and took some breathtaking images of the two of them among the columns of the Mellon Institute of Industrial Research. Afterward, we went downtown for some more images in the city, including the Roberto Clemente Bridge, Heinz Hall, and the Renaissance Hotel.
Genesy wore jewelry and a stunning gown from The Vow Boutique in Morgantown, WV. Her make-up, by Brittany Ilene Hair and Make-up, was simple but elegant to enhance her natural beauty. WV Motion Works came along, as well, and created a beautiful and fun video of the session!
