In May 2019, at an NXT show at The Fillmore, Anton and Meredith met for the first time. Both were part of the wrestling Facebook fan group, “The Mark Out Club,” where they had mutual friends but had never crossed paths until that night. The group had organized to attend the show together, and Anton was the first to approach and greet Meredith upon arrival. Anton confessed it was his first live wrestling event, to which Meredith responded, “Oh, you’re hanging with me, then!” After the show, Meredith tried to rally the group members to go for drinks, but everyone else had prior commitments. Anton, however, agreed to join. They headed to Barcade for drinks and ended up chatting for nearly four hours!
Fast forward to their wedding day, it was a celebration like no other. Wrestling of course was the common thread woven throughout, but it was done with elegance and class.
Set on what turned out to be the hottest day of October, which also coincidentally fell on Halloween weekend, their wedding was themed to the NXT event where they first met, with black and gold as their chosen colors. They requested all guests to dress in black, creating a visually striking scene.
They even had their bridal party make their entrance to WWE entrance themes! And to top it off, they had an actual ring announcer, Derrick T. Lewis, introduce them!
Lucky Dog Studio, an event production company within Globe Dye Works, played wrestling matches on a projector throughout the night- Meredith adds, “It was nerdy, it was classy, and it was a true representation of us as a couple – which is exactly what we wanted!”
