The winter months are typically considered “off-season” for a majority of wedding vendors. A time to relax, unwind and catch up on things that were put on the back burner during the height of wedding season. Yet, it’s also a time to stretch those creative muscles and have a little fun! Cue: Valentine’s Day! A sweet, little holiday that hits right at the perfect time in the middle of those winter blues.
When Rachel, of Rachel Betson Photography reached out saying she had an idea brewing for a Valentine’s Day themed shoot at The Highlands Mansion, we jumped right in! Her inspiration featured two styles for our model. A sleek, classic feel and a fun, party look. Both including bright pops of pinks and reds for a Valentine’s Day vibe. With Jes of Captured By Jessica Lynn on board, we had a blast brining this vision to life!
To set the tone for the shoot, Becca of Dare Floral Studio created a pink ombre baby’s breath piece inside the light-filled greenhouse while Mary of Rosier Event Rentals filled the space in with curated pieces to create a lounge area and small tablescape. Intertwining the two styles.
For the classic look, our model wore a sleeveless white gown from Lovely Bride Philly, paired with long gloves adorned with little hearts. And for the fun look, she wore a short, white romper via Rent The Runway and H&M. With Maggie of Shimmer and Spice switching up Nikki’s Hair and Makeup to reflect each style.
Lourdes of Cardsmith Design Studio, designed a stationery suite perfectly reflecting both styles in those swoon worthy details below.
This Valentine’s Day shoot was just what we all needed during winter break to get our creative minds going again!
