From the photographer: Kristen and DJ had their wedding in mid June, and to kick off the summer they wanted their day to be fun and bright with colors like orange, and blush to set the tone of happiness and joy! The warm and light colors and modern sleek details were juxtaposed with the old world charm of Princeton University’s Chapel and campus and historic Hotel du Village in New Hope, PA.
Kristen and DJ met in college while DJ was a Princeton University student and he was meeting up with a friend at TCNJ, where Kristen attended and the rest is history! He asked her to be his wife in Central Park on an intimate evening on their way walking home from a romantic dinner!
Since DJ is a Princeton alumni, they chose to have their ceremony at the Princeton University Chapel. The old world architecture paired so well with the history and aesthetic of Hotel du Village. They shared their first look and portraits against the beautiful old stone steps at Princeton with creeping green ivy that was beyond romantic!
The couple’s reception was held in Hotel du Village’s Historic Ballroom- the white walls and wainscoting made the details of the day pop! We loved the clear lucite signs and table numbers designed and styled by Clover Event Co, paired with the warm orange and peach florals by Devon and Pinkett- these details really gave the day a modern twist against a classic canvas. And how fun are those personalized napkins and heart-shaped candies!? Clover Event Co literally thinks of everything!
The entire day was filled with so much love and joy from Kristen + DJ’s friends and family and was such a pleasure to capture the beauty that surrounded them!
